What is the Treatment Like?
The skin is topically numbed for about 30 minutes with strong numbing cream. You will feel a little pinch each time the handpiece is pressed on the skin, but this is completely tolerable with the topical anesthetic cream. Radiofrequency microneedling treatment takes about 45 minutes-1 hour. Afterwards, your skin will be a bit red and warm, but a cooling air device and/or cold packs are applied to the skin for instant comfort.
How Many Treatments?
Patients typically need 3-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart to achieve optimal results. Most patients report seeing improvement after the second treatment, but optimal results appear 3 months after the last treatment.
What to Expect After Treatment?
For a couple of days after your treatment, your skin will be a slighty pink and sensitive. Powder mineral makeup can be worn the day after your treatment. After the treatment, on days 2-5 your skin will feel a bit rough. After a weeik, your skin show recovery and look better. However, the best results from the treatment (wrinkle-reducing, skin tightening, acne scar lifting) may not be noticeable until anywhere from 1-3 months after you treatment.
